There are three, no, four primary ways we commit sin. With our eyes, with our words, with our hands and our feet. Jesus dealt with all of them on the Cross. He broke the power and ability of each of them.
His hands and feet were crucifed - showing us, teaching us - we may no longer use them to commit sin - since we've committed them to Christ, for now, our feet walk the path he puts us on - the path of righteousness for his name's sake. Likewise, our hands are no longer to be used to sin but rather to fulfill our Father's will. Our hands are to be used to bless, not curse, to heal, not hurt. Likewise our tongues. Just as Jesus blessed those who were persecuting him, from the Cross, so are we to do also. We are to give fresh water, not bitter, love in exchange for their hate. And finally, the eyes. Jesus' eyes were blinded from the blood and sweat that flowed from his brow - where the crown of thorns had pierced him - he was "blinded by his blood" and so must we be - we must see through his blood, only - that which he wants us to see - only that which is pure and lovely and holy. We must see with his eyes now.
