Jeremiah Chapter 50 verse thirty five

"A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the Lord, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes and upon her wise men". Here, God pronounces judgment on Babylon's leadership, her "princes and wise men". Today, he is also pronouncing judgment on all leadership, including those in the churches, who oppose him. The judgment of Babylon begins in the house of the Lord and it starts there with leadership, but they are just the tip of the iceberg. Ungodly, carnal leadership could not exist without carnal, worldly saints. Those the worldly, carnal churches count wise are fools to God, those the worldly churches call foolish are wise in God's eyes. Do you really think God will stand idly by as churches ordain homosexuals in his name? As they blashpeme the Holy Spirit by accusing him of being sent by Satan? How many times have I heard "the Toronto blessing is not of God"? And each time I know it grieves the Holy Spirit because he most certainly was in the "Toronto blessing" and still is. Of course they've made mistakes and the enemy has tried hard to infiltrate this new move of the Holy Spirit and unfortunately, he has succeeded. He has sent a false manifestation of the Holy Spirit to keep people from experiencing the real. We must be careful which spirit we are submitting to. A spiritual experience from God will always glorify and honor him and result in Holiness, not silliness. This doesnt mean we can't become emotional or seemingly lose control, it just means the end result will be an encounter with him that leaves us more godly than we were before. Changed for the better. If you are experiencing sprititual manifestations but aren't changing within, if you are still harboring sin inside, than most likely it isn't the Holy Spirit you are experiencing. He will convict us of sin while at the same time overwhelming us with his great love for us. He will birth righteousness in us and grow his fruit in us, as well as impart his gifts to us. I thank God for Toronto and anywhere else the Spirit of the living God is able to move as he pleases but I grieve when the enemy is able to mislead them into manifestations that do not come from God. Still, Hooray for them and many others around the world God is setting free and yet, when God tried to bring the Toronto blessing to Ireland, the religious spirit over the nation quickly stamped it out with fear and doubt. In fact, these are two of the religious spirit's greatest weapons - fear and unbelief. He tries to get God's people to fear the Holy Spirit, believing he is really a demonic spirit and he tries to get them to doubt it is the Holy Spirit moving at all. He convinces them the Holy Spirit's ministry is "sloppy" and "not scriptural". Jesus had to deal with this religious spirit's ministry and so does the Holy Spirit today. Just as Jesus "came to his own and his own received him not" (John 1:11), so today is the Holy Spirit being rejected by his own people. In their pride they believe because they haven't experienced the Holy Spirits's presence the way others have, it can't be of God because THEY ARE THE PEOPLE OF GOD, so they can be the only barometers of what God is doing in the earth and so they miss so much because they won't humble themselves and admit God could be moving in another ministry other than their own. "But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come" (Mt:12:32). Far better for these pastors to take the stance of Gamaliel, in Acts 5, when he said "Refrain from these men and let them alone; for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought. But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it, lest haply ye be found even to fight against God" (Acts 5:38&39).
Too bad Paul didn't heed his advice but continued to come against the "cult of the christians", completely convinced he was doing God's will by jailing and killing as many christians as possible. Similarly, many pastors today have the same delusion, doing their best to "jail and kill" as many ministries as they can that they believe are working for the enemy, when all the while they themselves are doing the enemies work. They believe they are in the will of God when they persecute and resist "him whom God sends", whether apostle or prophet, regardless, it is the Holy Spirit they are resisting. Jesus said whoever doesn't receive him whom he sends, they are rejecting Jesus himself. When James and John said to the Lord "wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?"(Luke 9:54), they were not walking in the right spirit but following another spirit, one that says, if they aren't a part of us, if they aren't with us, they must be against us, they must not be of God, and we must kill them. Jesus replied "ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of" (Luke 9:55). Many in church leadership today do not know "what manner of spirit they are of". How pastors and leaders in localized churches today receive apostles and prophets whom God sends will reveal what spirit they are of. God is the only one that has the right to call someone false, to call them a "Nabal" but when he does so, he will use those who are his, those who are true, to do it even as he used Peter to expose Ananias and Sapphira. No wonder the false in the church hate and fear the true so much, for the arrival of the true heralds the end of their reign of deception. All the deceivers, all the "hirelings" and "wolves in sheep's clothing" guarding the flock will be exposed for who they really are. EVEN THEN a certain amount of people will still choose to remain in deception and bondage to them. Some will choose to follow their pastor or church to Hell, rather than leave them.
