Oh sure, sin is pleasurable
if only for a season
The enemy will be happy to
give you any ol’ reason
To go ahead and enjoy
the appetites of the flesh
But the wages of sin are always death.

But just as surely as the above is true
I’d like to submit these thoughts to you –

Righteousness is painful
if only for a season
It’s hard sometimes when it’s The Lord you are pleasin’
It’s hard to die to
The lust of the flesh, the eyes and Pride
But if we persevere then we will find

The wages of Righteousness are Eternal Life!
