South Korea's army is constantly on alert
practicing for every eventuality.
Prepared to be as ready as the can be
for the onslaught of the enemy.
A surprise attack will ultimately fail
for they're ready to respond to the siren's wail
and it struck me just the other day -
this is how we Christians ought to be.
Patiently.        Training.        Daily.
Skillful.       Alert.        Praying.
Able to discern the enemy's moves
whether many or just a few.
Trained and prepared to do what we have to.
We should be adept at spiritual disciplines,
honing ourselves without and within,
in other words, exercising all three -
Spirit,       Soul     and     Body.....
