The love of God

       is so rich and so pure

On His love I can depend

       of this I am sure.

The love with which

       He rules from His Throne

is a love I can forever rely on,

 but if I do not

  in heartfelt response 

       love others with like mind -

I am, of all men, most blind.

For to receive and not give

  is to die and not live,

for the only appropriate response 

       to the love of God

is to pour out His love on the lost.
