Are you Cain or are you Abel?
Do you disdain The Lord’s Table?
Is your offering received?
Or are you deceived?
Does your gift have God’s favour?
Does God enjoy your offerings flavour?
For yes God favours one offering over another
And if you see that God favours your brother
Will you hate him within your breast?
Or will you rejoice to see your brother blessed?
Will the sin crouching at your door,
Consume you till you are no more?
Or when God rejects your offering,
Will you go off and pout and do your own thing?
Start your own denomination,
As you choose the path that causes separation?

The curse of Cain lives on today –
Division and disunity
Because of pride and hate
