Those of the flesh honor and respect flesh. 

 Those of the Spirit honor and respect the Holy Spirit. 

 It cannot be otherwise. 

 The fleshly, carnal mind is at war with the spiritual mind

 and cannot understand it.

 Try as you might but a conversation with an unredeemed mind

 will frustrate you no end.

 I'm not saying don't try,

 just don't wonder why

 they can't grasp or know

 what the Holy Spirit spoke.

 If they aren't seeking truth -

 if they don't choose

 O God to fall in love with You,

 Your seed will die before it takes root.

I've seen it time and again 

 in the minds and hearts of men -

 a stubborn pride in their thoughts and ways 

 instead of humbly bowing low

 before the Ancient of Days.

They lean unto their own understanding 

 ignoring or reasoning away all the Lord's commanded 

To find someone who

 truly desires to

 learn of You

Of Lord

 would be

 for me

 a great reward
