She'd been a prostitute in her former life
The one she led before she met Christ
She came to him with no one to blame
"My daughter" he said, "I'll take all of your shame"
"To me, I see you as clean and brand new
pure as a virgin, through and through
Now come my child, rise and serve Me"
and she accepted his invitation, joyfully.
So she went to her pastor, her church, her denomination
with her heart full of joy and celebration
Till they told her you're not worthy to serve the Lord our God
because you were a prostitute, you'll forever be at odds
Only those of us we deem worthy -
who have always been in our eyes Holy,
may serve the God of Eternity
With her heart broken by man once again
She felt abandoned and forsaken
Oh my sister when He calls you - rise up and go!
For the God they serve is not the God I know

When Timothy met God he couldn't help but reveal
To all he met the joy he could not conceal
He was an evangelist from the start
for God had mightily touched his heart
and all who met him soon knew God is real
But as he went to his elders for their approval and commendation
all he got from them was condemntion
You're too young, too inexperienced,
too uneducated, rebellious and headstrong
You must submit to us or you'll get it all wrong
They quenced his zeal, stopped up his flow
made him sit on a pew, wouldn't let him go
For all you Timothy's out there
don't let them steal your share
of the Glory and Grace God on you bestows
for if there's one thing I do know
The God they serve is not the God I know

They drive more people to Hell then they save
through their godless, religious ways
They don't enter in and prevent others too
flee from their midst or they'll ensnare you
in their cage of religion and throw away the key
and then you'll never know your God granted destiny
no,
the leadership God uses to place you under his care
will always with you God's mind and heart share
They'll serve you - not lord it over you
of this you can be sure
their love for you will be Holy and pure
With one motivation guiding their hearts
to present you to God a pure and mature bride
and for you they'll lay down their lives
As a father would for his son or daughter
that with you they may please our heavenly Father
Equipping you     to go and do
all He's called you to
They'll bear his fruit
they'll reap and sow
for they are sent
by the God I know...

This flesh is but a passing fancy,
a lark, a bad habit, a fantasy,
trying to draw me away
from You O Lord.

I tried the lust
of the flesh,
of the eyes
and I've found
to no one's surprise -
Your ways are for more
wonderful, far higher,
far sweeter
than any fleshly desire,
so now I choose not to hide.
I choose rather to backslide
right back to You,
if You'll have me.
Let me become
the man You desire
on Holy fire, not of hell,
let my heart turn once again
to You, my only hope,
my deliverance,
my happy end.....

I'm like a seed pushing it's way up through the soil
The seed is my soul, the soil is my flesh (ly ways)
I'm fighting, I'm pushing, I'm the struggling one
trying to reach the Son.

And I won't quit, I won't be foiled
till I've broken through this stubborn soil
Till I breathe the air of freedom
till I feel the Son's light
I'll never cease to fight.

But without the water of your Word
I can't keep growing, I can't mature
I can't win this battle fierce
my topsoil I cannot pierce
Except with the sword of the Spirit.

Yet once I've broken through
I must keep reaching towards You
High
so high,
yet visible to every human eye
I must go on
to become strong
And when I've become attuned
to your voice, your will
I must be pruned,           still

My beloved is mine and I am his

and I have kept myself for a time such as this

His coming is near as the dawn to my eyes

this longing of mine is soon satisfied

Come quickly Lord Jesus! Says the Spirit, says the Bride

I'll not arise complete till you draw me to your side

My God in my heart is an all consuming fire

Come quickly my Lord for now I so desire

Come quickly my Lord and heed my heart's choir

Until then My Lord I will prepare for you this goal -

My spirit without spot, no blemish in my soul

my flesh will not my life control

Come quickly my Lord, your return I await my sire

for you are, my Lord, my heart's sole desire

I thirst for you, I long for you

no other love will ever do

Come quickly I am faint with desire,

come quickly.....

Here, Holy Spirit, You can do anything that pleases You
We’ll not lean on our own understanding
but trust ourselves completely to Your handling
For Holy Spirit – Your ways are not our ways
Your thoughts are not our thoughts
You are higher than us
So the desire in us
is for You to rule within us
You are our best friend – it’s You we trust
Holy Spirit, please teach us to do anything pleasing to Father
No matter how strange
Rearrange our carnal minds
Realign them with Yours
Restore them to that place renewed
That forever they are one with You

Here Holy Spirit, You may do
Anything that pleases You
Completely have Your way with us today
Wash us anew, bring us to our Father
May all Truth permeate us through and through

In the darkest night 
the Gospel's light 
will shine so bright

So you - carrier of the Gospel's seed,
do not avoid darkness and grief.
Do not avoid hardships and suffering
for it is in the midst of these very things
that the Gospel is most noticed, most living,
shines the brightest.
In the midst of every test
is where you'll be most blessed.
So if you find yourself in deep darkness,
lovely one, it's there the Gospel becomes most real -
not just words written or said
but actual power to raise the dead,
heal the sick, prophecy and overcome the darkness,
all of it, with Holy zeal -
In darkness, light has the highest impact.
Satan's kingdom cannot be beaten back
unless we confront it, go on the attack,
go to the strongholds,
pull down the tent poles.
Like with Samson, just when the enemy thinks he's won -
is the very moment when his kingdom will come undone....
We'll snatch victory from the jaws of defeat
and Satan's shame will be complete....

In the darkest hour
the Gospel's mighty power
will devour
all Satan's schemes and plans.
The victory will be God's not man's.....
