Small delights

Small delights -
They're what make life             right.
Pistachio nuts.                 A
balloon falling     up.
A particularly spectacular sunset.
A friend you haven't met                 yet.
A song.     Or two.         Or three.
The fruit of an apple tree.
My daughter's wit.
A candle lit.
A swim in a cool creek.
The joy of knowing the meek.
Hearing a song-bird sing.
Seeing the flowers bloom each Spring.
A well-cooked meal.
An orange freshly peeled.
My wife's smile.
After hard work - resting awhile.
A BLT.       Knowing we're free
to be who God meant us to be.
A Jimmy Buffet tune.
The whole month of June.
A magical night with you.
Holding your hand while staring at the moon.
A shampoo and a hair cut.
Tuna fish casserole with chips on top.
Watching "It's a wonderful life"
because it truly is a wonderful life!
An ice-cream sundae.
Simply watching children play.
The power and majesty of a thunder storm.
Hugs and kisses to keep our hearts warm.
Yes, it's the simple delights
that make life right.                   Right?

PS Here in Korea, all hair cuts include a free shampoo and THEY ARE TRULY WONDERFUL. Sometimes I want to go in to a shop and ask for just a shampoo....which they will do, by the way.
