If our hearts aren't open to another's need -
then we're blind to something we should see,
for God saw us and chose to bleed.
He saw us and did not hesitate
to respond to our fate.
Like the good Samaritan, He did not ignore us
but turned His mighty heart toward us.
For those in pain who need Him most,
He loves us through the Holy Ghost.
For God so loved that He gave
and continues to love us deeply today.
He still reaches out to rescue and save -
yet how does He respond to
the cripples, the blind and the poor?
It's through our hearts, our bodies, that His love is poured.
For where the heart turns, the body will follow,
which is why we must, like Him, love deeply, not shallow.

"The Body of Christ always follows the heart of Christ"
